Resource Incomplete Error and Copyright Information Formfield error

Good day,

We are experiencing some resource errors on our Kolibri Studio, which is hosted with this email: Sarah@schoolinabox.co.za.

Here are the details :slight_smile:

  1. Exercises that have been loaded and previously shown as complete are now showing an error - when we open the exercise, it says Error not found and then we press finish, it clears the error. The problem is that we have thousands of resources on the Kolibri Studio, so we cannot open and close all the resources.

  2. The second error is that it shows us that the copyright information on a resource is not found or not complete, then when we go into the resource to add the copyright information, it doesn’t allow us to edit or clickj the copyright holder form field.

Thank you for reaching out and we’re sorry this error has come up. We appreciate you reporting it and sharing the video; it’s very helpful. We’ve passed this along to our QA team and they’re currently working on reproducing both issues.

We understand that with thousands of resources, manually opening each one isn’t realistic. Our goal is to assign this work promptly, and once we’ve identified the fix, we’ll let you know when the release is planned so you won’t have to manually update resources one by one.

One quick question to help us narrow the cause: did this start happening recently, or has it been ongoing for a few weeks?

Our QA team has been able to reproduce both issues, and we’ll be working to resolve them at the earliest opportunity. The fixes will be included in an upcoming Studio patch release.

To help us better understand how to resolve the issues, could you please clarify which specific resources are affected? For example, are they limited to certain channels or content types?

Additionally, could you confirm whether these resources are owned by your organization, or if they were imported from other sources?

This information will help us determine the best next steps in resolving the issues. If you’re able to share a few example links (even a small sample), that would be very helpful.

Most of the resources are affected, i cant share the specifics because its in most of our channels

it appears on all our channels, not the imported ones alone.

We are also encountering another error on our channels and resources, mostly with those we have uploaded but not imported. Please mark this as urgent.

The channel is Grade 6 on our platform.

So the error has to do with incomplete resources and now Exercises, so the exercises are marked as errors instead of warnings, but they are complete. When I go inside of one, and then i dont change anything i just click finish, the error goes away. I have attached 2 screenshots.

Also, can I please know when the Studio patch will be?

I am the engineer assigned to fix this issue - I’m still not entirely sure why it has happened, but to prevent any further issues, I have carried out a manual fix on all of the School in a box channels on Studio.

I will be continuing to chase down the root cause to ensure this doesn’t recur.
