We’re experiencing an issue with Kolibri Studio, where we keep getting an error related to incomplete resources (screenshot attached).
We have thousands of resources, and many of them are showing as incomplete. My main questions are:
Do we now have to complete every single resource that is marked incomplete before publishing?
Why is this error inconsistent? Some exercises seem to work fine, while others trigger this issue.
What exactly triggers this error? Is there a new update that requires us to manually edit everything?
Why do some resources that don’t have warnings still cause issues? Is there a filtering process that has changed?
I understand if there’s an update that enforces stricter validation, but the inconsistency is what’s most concerning. Could you clarify how we should proceed and whether we need to fix all incomplete resources before publishing?
Could you send me a direct message (DM) here on the forums with your channel ID? I will take a look at some of the incomplete resources to see what might be wrong to give you more exact answers to your questions.
Overall, if a resource is accurately determined to be incomplete, then this validation assures a few things:
I did not receive the token but I was able to find the channel from a past conversation.
I observed an issue while browsing your channel which might be related to some of the incomplete resources you’ve seen. Although, one resource, in ‘Grade 6’, appeared to be an extraneous file:
A few of the other incomplete resources did not seem to be legitimately incomplete, but the issue I observed may be related. We’re currently investigating the issue and I’ll let you know when that’s resolved. Until then, I would recommend scanning through the incomplete folders and removing any extraneous resources like the above screenshot.
I am writing to follow up on an issue I previously reported (Jan 30, 9:39 AM) regarding a content error in Kolibri Studio. I noticed that the issue was marked as closed on GitHub, and I have also shared follow-up communication on the Learning Equality Community Forum. To provide further context, I have attached the emails and screenshots of our communications.
Could you please review the attached details and let me know if I need to provide any updates or additional information regarding this matter? Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
We confirmed after closing the issue that the issues had been resolved in your channel - are you saying that this is no longer the case? There was one incomplete resource in your channel (per Blaine’s message) that was not a result of the bug itself, so that would need to be resolved.
If something else is happening that I am missing, please let me know.
Hi Richard, yes we are still going through the same issue with the Incomplete errors, I’m going to give you a list of CHannels that are experiencing these errors:
Note from the forum admin: tokens deleted and shared privately with Richard.
We recommend you share tokens privately, instead of in the post on the thread
that is open to public.
Please note that most of these contain resources from external authors like Khan Academy.
please let me know if I can provide you with any further information to assist you in resolving this issue.
From a quick spot check, it appears that no copyright holder is set on many of the resources.
Have you tried using the “Sync resources” option to resolve this? Running it with just the “resource details” option might be sufficient here, while not overwriting any adjustments you might have made to the title and description.
