Channel (Name of the channel you were working on):
Description of problem:
I am facing an issue with the “Related” tab. When I add a “Next Steps” to an activity, the item I link does not appear under Next Steps once the activity is completed.
Example :
I linked a course as the next step following completion of the current course.
Hey @akolson ! All good . I think I am republishing the channel cause I am able to import the new changes to my kolibri app however its just the “next steps” changes doesn’t carry over.
This is really helpful! Thank you for taking the time to screencast the issue. I think your approach is the correct one. The process of re-publishing the channel should propagate the updates to Kolibri once you reimport the the resources.
What is the result if you:
Logged out and logged back into Kolibri again?
Deleted the currently imported channel and reimported it again?
Navigated through the entire resource and not marked it as resolved?
Could you also share the version of Kolibri you are currently using + any logs from the developer console in your browser (if any), or kolibri instance?
In the meantime, we’ll try to replicate the issue and revert with any further suggestion as soon as possible.
It looks like the Next Steps feature in Studio isn’t functioning exactly as described in our documentation—our apologies for the confusion. At the moment, it’s only used to populate the Next Steps section on the Learn home page in Kolibri.
To achieve a similar effect, you can order resources sequentially within the same folder. This way, they will appear in the completion modal under Keep Going / Move On.
Please let us know if this approach works for your current use case, as we continue working to improve the Next Steps functionality in Studio.
