Session data question

Summary

I am downloading the session data but the file goes back to 2019 and I cannot even see records beyond 2023.

Does anyone know why Kolibri only offers session data in this format rather than offering the ability to pull a specific time frame?

Thank you for reaching out Audra. What version of Kolibri are you currently using? You should see it visible at the bottom of the sign-in page or the bottom of the side panel - it should be text that starts with something like 0.15.2 or 0.16.2 or something.

In the latest release of Kolibri 0.18.4 when you access your Facility’s “Data” tab and click “Generate Log” you then are prompted to select a date range. The date picker boxes are front-and-center in that case so I suspect you might be on an older version of Kolibri.

However, it is important to note that if the data is not present then that won’t do the trick - but if your version is out of date, then upgrading might be a good first thing to try.


My suggestion is:

A) If you do find yourself out of date, then try to upgrade if you can, but please be sure to stop Kolibri and backup a copy of the db.sqlite3* files before proceeding out of an abundance of caution (they live at the same home as the log files in the “Home folder” described there)

B) If your version is up-to-date already, then please locate your Kolibri log files and share them as they may help further investigation.
