We are working in a rural setting with little access to internet at the sites. Each site will be a school with between 250 and 400 learners and we need to be able to track usage.
The device was set up elsewhere using the offline registration option it seems.
Now when I connect to KA Lite on the server, there is no option to set up or manage a facility. I re-ran kalite setup hoping I’d be able to register the device again, but nothing happened.

This is unrelated to registration. Both unregistered and registered devices can manage facilities etc. Ensure that you are logged in as an administrator, and if you forgot the password, use kalite manage createsuperuser
or kalite manage changepassword <superuser-username>

The registration process fires if:
- The device can detect that it’s online
- It’s not already registered
You can unregister the device with kalite manage clearuserdata
, but beware that this also wipes user activity (the stuff that displays in Coach Reports). After it’s cleared, you can register the device again, if you register it using normal registration, you will get an account and be able to sync data online and accumulate it here.
