I’m currently facing an issue with Kolibri where it’s not detecting external storage (SD card or USB drive). I’ve tried different storage devices and checked the permissions, but the problem persists.
I’m using a laptop with Windows 11 Pro, and I’m on Kolibri version 0.17.5. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any solutions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

One of our QA team recently discovered an issue with detecting external storage drives on Windows 11, so this may be what you are facing here. We should have a fix for this in 0.18.0 which will be coming out next month. Apologies for the issue - it’s due to a change in Windows 11 where they have removed the tool we were previously accessing to list all the available removable storage devices.
As a work around, you should be able to use this guide from Microsoft to reinstall the WMIC tool that Kolibri is using to list hard drives: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/windows-itpro-blog/how-to-install-wmic-feature-on-demand-on-windows-11/4189530
