Supported by our funding from Google.org, we will provide selected organizations with a grant of approximately USD $15,000 in total for two years to purchase the hardware necessary for implementing Kolibri in formal schools, educational facilities and non-formal learning settings, to reach both school-aged and adult learners. It is through this grant that we hope to learn more about the various user types and hardware configurations for Kolibri in varying contexts. Not only will this grant provide organizations with the hardware support to implement Kolibri, but it will also make hardware available to be used for other educational endeavors at their respective organizations. While Learning Equality will provide grantees with training materials for effectively implementing Kolibri in their programs, organizations must have existing technical capacity or experience in their team to be considered for a grant. We are strongly encouraging organizations working in low-resource contexts with marginalized children, youth and/or adult learners to apply.
