We aim to bring technology-enhanced education to our schools in areas with limited internet access. We have adopted the use of Kolibri, but we are facing challenges in installing the application on the school’s laptops to complete the activation process. I will attach screenshots of the error messages we are receiving."
Hi @marwa_shaaban1 it looks like you have an antivirus that’s blocking part of the installation of kolibri. Kolibri installs Python
(it’s the language it’s developed on) and you don’t have it installed. I only can think of your computer blocking it .
Maybe you had a prompt from your antivirus to warn you or maybe it blocked it silently.
I would recommend you to uninstall kolibri, stop temporarily your antivirus and install kolibri again. Then you can enable your antivirus again (beware it might block later kolibri accesses, but let’s cross that bridge when it comes).
One last advice: I see you’re installing kolibri 0.17.0
. Last version that fixes some issues is 0.17.3
.
Hope this helps

@jredrejo Has made great suggestions, I agree that those are the appropriate next steps.
I’m only adding to the conversation to point out that the first screenshot seems to include a popup from a program called RAV Endpoint Protection, which I will assume is the antivirus that blocked installation of Python.
If that is the case, that is probably the program that you want to disable/stop at least temporarily.
