Unable to Import from LAN Kolibri Server to Mobile App – "Some Devices Are Not Responding" Error

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue while trying to import content from my LAN Kolibri server to the Kolibri mobile app. Here are the details of the problem:

Problem Description:

  • I can successfully transfer/import content between two Kolibri installations on PCs within the same LAN.
  • The Kolibri mobile app detects the server and shows it in the list of available devices.
  • However, when I try to connect and import content, I receive the error:

“Some devices are not responding. Please check the connection and try again.”

  • This happens despite the mobile app being able to detect the server on the network.

What I’ve Tried So Far:

  1. Verified that both the server and the mobile device are connected to the same network.
  2. Verified that the mobile app can detect the server.
  3. Rebooted both the server and the mobile device multiple times.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions to resolve this issue. Let me know if you need any additional details to help diagnose the problem!

Could you please share some additional information:

  1. What Kolibri version are the PCs running?
  2. Are the PCs running Windows?
  3. Are you using the latest Kolibri Android app from the Google Play store?
  4. What’s the make and model of the Android device?
  5. What Android version is the Android device running?
