Is Kolibri tested for use as an Online LMS?

HI All,
I’m from South Africa where we have a mix of high and low connectivity schools. We’re wanting to offer free access to the Khan Academy content via the broadband network, but need the content to be hosted locally in South Africa.
Is Kolibri able to have a few hundred or thousand concurrent users - or is that completely going to fail?
If there are any test stats around this it would be most appreciated. Many thanks
A

Hi Alistair,

I know that Liz has been following up with you via e-mail, but in case others find this thread and have similar questions, I’m sharing the link here that gives an overview of our work with Vodafone, where learners are accessing Kolibri over the Vodafone network: learningequality.org/r/vf

Best,
Laura

I know this is an old thread, but I was looking for info like this and wanted to mention that this link currently sends me to an access denied page for google drive/docs.

I assume this is likely similar info to what you were linking to, it might be the same doc, I just found it trying to look up your vodafone collaboration using google - https://www.vodafone.com/content/dam/vodcom/files/vodafone_connected_education.pdf

Thought it was worth posting for others, and to let you know that link is no longer active. This seems like useful work to be highlighting, so I went to the Learning Equality impact page and found this project that also mentioned Vodafone, I didn’t spend a lot of time determining if these are reports about the same or different projects.

Thanks @jaltekruse ! It looks like it was an issue with the link, but I’ve fixed it so it should now load properly. It’s similar to the link you shared but not exactly the same. It’s worth adding that the work described has concluded, but the documents can serve as a reference point to better understand the components of a collaboration with an online component. Thanks!

Hi Laura,

Thanks for the quick response! I still get an access denied message from Drive for that link, not that its critical, just wanted to let you know.
