How We Can Support Francophone Learners: Our Call For French Digital Resources

We hope this message finds you well and healthy.

We’re living through the learning emergency of our time, as the shift to online distance learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic has widened the already-deep digital divide.

Hearing the need from many of our Francophone learners worldwide, Learning Equality and EdTech Hub are working to build our learning library in French, and we need your help!

We want to hear your recommendations for digital educational resources - books, tutorials, courses, libraries, and apps - in French that could help Francophone learners keep up with distance learning.

We’re working to #FindFrench resources (that are or may be able to be openly licensed) in many subjects: math, science, literacy, entrepreneurship, career prep, and anything else you’ve been using to learn or teach online. Using the offline learning platform, Kolibri, we want to help these materials get to the learners who need them.

While we’re particularly interested in resources for lower secondary learners, we’re eager to hear any and all suggestions!

Together, we can help Francophone learners in low-resource and low-connectivity contexts keep learning during the pandemic. Let’s ensure that continuity of learning amid this crisis is possible for everyone, not just those with connectivity.

With gratitude,
