Cannot view pdf files on Kolibri

Sharing from Kayce in an e-mail:
" Hi Laura,

I have pdfs with content loaded on Kolibri. When I open it to view the content, and regardless of whether I scroll through the whole thing, if I leave the lesson, I cannot access the content again. I get a screen that has a blue line through it. Attached is a screenshot.

Any suggestions?"

So just to clarify, the user was able to view the pdf content once, but wasn’t able to do so later?
Do we know some information about Kolibri version, operating system, and browser? Thanks!

Hi, Lingyi. That is correct. I am able to view the content once and only once. After that, I get the blue line when I go back to it.

I am running Kolibri 0.13.2
MacOS Mojave
Chrome browser

Thank you!

I tried creating a new account learner, but the previously viewed content still produces a blue line even in the new account.

Hi @kaycelu,

Thank you for providing the information! Do you mind also providing us the log file so we could see if any errors happened? You should be able to find the log file through the steps described here. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hi @lingyi,
Seems I can’t upload a .txt file so here is the content of kolibri.txt.

Thanks for your help!

Hello @kaycelu,

Thank you for providing the log file! I don’t see errors in these lines. Did you see the issue yesterday (June 1st)? If that’s the case, do you mind sending us the log file for June 1st (or any day when you saw the error) which should be found in the archive directory under logs.
If the file is too large, please feel free to upload the file to a place such as Google Drive and share the link here, or send it to my email address lingyi@learningequality.org, whichever is more convenient for you.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hi @kaycelu,

Thank you again for sending me the log file. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find errors in the log. I also tested on two Kolibri Mac apps, one in MacOS 10.15, and the other in MacOS 10.12, but was unable to reproduce the issue you encountered.

Does this issue happen only for PDFs in the specific channel shown your screenshot, or all the PDFs including ones from other channels? (If you need a testing channel with PDFs, you can use Be Strong: Internet safety resources with channel id d0ef6f71e4fe4e54bb87d7dab5eeaae2, which is a public channel we have.

On the other hand, are you able to view this content online twice, the same way as you encountered the issue, using chrome/safari on your device? https://kolibri-demo.learningequality.org/en/learn/#/topics/c/04df12b1b7bf4ab98bdaf442ef445c11
Thank you!
