My name is Joshua Fay, and I’ve been using Kolibri with Khan Academy content to help students at a small charter school in Hilo, Hawaii. I have the K–8 Khan Academy content structured as a skill tree, but I kept finding it difficult to identify a student’s level across the various math topics.
So I built a system (with a lot of AI assistance) that uses the Khan Academy content and adapts to the student as they answer — it gets harder or easier based on their responses, in the computer-adaptive testing (CAT) style. Here’s a 48-second demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fp3i0d_m8Pc
It’s been useful for spotting gaps in their math foundations. Still in development, of course.
Would anyone be interested in this as a plugin that Kolibri facilitators could use?
