I have just installed Kolibri (0.7.dev) and wanted to import some content from the internet. The software asks for a “Content channel ID” but I don’t know where to get that information. I found a link to a content curation server, but the server appears to be down: https://contentworkshop.learningequality.org/
Let me know where to start!
I see that the site is working now - and I after creating an account I was able to find content IDs. Hope this info helps anyone else poking around
Hi @needlestack
Just asking to make sure: You are not deploying Kolibri, right? Because it’s not ready for full scale deployment in the field.
Poking around is great, and we would love to hear your feedback and if you want to be doing development, release testing etc.
If you want to see how content renders in Kolibri, here is a demo channel ID: bcd99d8aeef04ce6b9e25a88d87eedb7
Note: It’s not a real-life curated channel, it’s only for demo/testing purposes. It includes a range of content and exercise types that we saw fit for demoing. We will see if we can update it in the near future.
Hi @benjamin!
We’re not deploying yet, just evaluating internally – but we were under the impression that FLE was hoping we (i.e. World Possible) would start deployment?
Currently my plan was to install Kolibri KA on our RACHEL-Plus device for testing and see if it was solid enough to replace KA-Lite. It sounds like you think that is not the best idea…?

Making preparations is a great idea! but if you are planning to also distribute/deploy these RACHEL-Plus devices in 2017, it would really push the agenda (is my understanding) – I will link you up with @lauren so that you can discuss what a good plan would be.
RACHEL is a big thing!
Btw. we have a new configurable admin welcome message for RACHEL deployments ready soon for KA Lite, would be great to have you in on this so you can benefit from it as soon as it ships: https://github.com/learningequality/ka-lite/pull/5529
