Introduction as a new contributor interested in contributing to Learning Equality projects and exploring GSoC 2026

Hello everyone,

My name is Vaishnavi Saudagar, and I am a 3rd year Computer Engineering student with experience in Python and working with web-based applications. I am interested in contributing to Learning Equality because of its mission to improve access to education and its use of open-source technologies to support learning at scale.

I am currently exploring the Kolibri ecosystem and contribution guidelines, and I plan to start with beginner-friendly issues to better understand the codebase and development workflow. I am particularly interested in backend and Python-related contributions.

I look forward to learning from the community and contributing meaningfully. Any guidance on suitable starter issues or contribution pathways would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Vaishnavi Saudagar

I’m interested too for a guideline. Maybe we can start here:

Hi all,

I’m Dharani Manne, a Master’s student in Data Science at Wright State University. I’m very interested in contributing to Learning Equality for GSoC 2026. I admire your mission of providing offline digital learning solutions to underserved learners worldwide and believe in the power of education equity.
I have experience in Python, data analysis, and software development, and I would love to start contributing to beginner-friendly issues or small tasks to support your projects, like Kolibri.Could you please guide me on how to get started and any suggestions for contributions suitable for GSoC applicants?

Thank you for your time!
