Kolibiri studio workaround

Is there a way to upload files directly to Kolibiri without using Kolibiri studio? Perhaps importing from Google Drive instead? If the files were set out in the correct structure could this work? Uploading to Kolibiri studio is cumbersome. And Rice cooker is quite complex.

Data in South Africa is quite pricey and uploading takes quite a while. Is there a way to directly copy files to the device?
