Hi Community,
My name is Bhaskar Joshi, and I am a Computer Science undergraduate from IIIT Hyderabad, India. I am reaching out to express my interest in GSoC 2025 application on “Implement a prototype of a Rich Text Editor”.
I have worked full-time with Adobe on Javascript, Vue.js and HTML/CSS hence I feel to be considered for this position. Also, I have been a GSoC 2024 contributor in Internet Archive and contributed towards Open Source Dev.

Key Highlights of My Background:

Academic Qualifications:
B.Tech (Hons) in Computer Science + MS by Research in AI
GPA: 9.27/10
Dean’s List for six consecutive semesters

Publications and Patents:

5 IEEE research papers published, 1 journal paper under review
3 US patents (1 accepted, 2 under review)
Onsite Research in my undergrad and published a research paper with York University and Université Paris Dauphine-PSL (completed in 3-4 months)

Industry Experience:
Adobe, Airbus, Intel, and Google Summer of Code at Internet Archive

Proposed Timeline: (will be updated as per your requirements)

Weeks 1-2: Research Kolibri’s renderers, accessibility standards, and clarify on design plan
Weeks 3-6: Implement HTML5 article rendering with initial styles and responsiveness and have mid Eval.
Weeks 7-9: Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance and integrate basic multimedia support
Weeks 10-12: Work on implementation of bugs/ other features, finalize the documentation, and complete testing.
Week 12-14: Stretch goals would include integration of existing renderers to handle audio, video, and other multimedia content for better rendering experiences than simple HTML5 elements.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I am also interested in any other project in which you think I can be suited better.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,

Bhaskar
